Wostawea News - January 26, 2017

What a weekend we had!!!! Thanks to all that came out to the Maritime Cup. Largest turnout of racers in years, great weather, great trails, great work by volunteers.

Maritime Cup – Killarney Lake – Thanks to all those that participated, cheered or volunteered this past weekend. What a wonderful event for Wostawea and cross country skiing in New Brunswick. A big huge thanks goes out to David Cameron, and his army of volunteers for organizing an extremely well run event.

Wostawea Programs (Jackrabbit, Track Attack and Adult) –  Back to regular classes this Saturday, January 28 at 10 am for all groups.

Skate Ski Lessons – Louis Fortin is offering skate ski lessons this season. All proceeds will support his efforts to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyongChang. Contact him at louisbfortin@gmail.com if you are interested. Group lessons start this Saturday January 28.

Trail conditions at Killarney Lake and Wostawea Trails - Even though we have had some weird weather the last few days, the trails should be in good shape for this weekend. Check the Trail Conditions section of the website to find out trail conditions.  http://www.wostawea.ca/conditions/

Wostawea Jackets – available for order until Monday January 30 online: https://ppr.louisgarneau.com/wostawea. We need more people to order jackets so that we meet the minimum order requirement of 6 men’s and 4 women’s jackets!

These durable and eye-catching jackets cost $138.38 + HST and come in both men and women's styles as well as a range of sizes. A sizing chart is available for each jacket style or you are welcome to stop a Wostawean wearing one and inquire as to whether you can try theirs on to get a sense of sizing. Once produced, they will be sent to Peta Fussell, Wostawea Communications Coordinator, who will distribute them.
