Killarney Lake Trails – Grooming Update The City of Fredericton has advised the club that it recommenced grooming the Killarney Lake Trails on Tuesday January 3, 2017, after a hiatus over the holiday period. Trails are groomed, and hopefully tracked by Thursday (depending on snow conditions after today’s storm). We apologize for any inconvenience caused to skiers who went out to ski the trails over the last week, only to find out that they were not groomed. The Wostawea Executive will be working closely with the City groomers to ensure that trail conditions on our website are updated more frequently. We are also working on improving the way trail condition information is displayed on the website. We have split up the Trail Conditions section to include a separate update for the Wostawea (UNB Woodlot/Kingswood) Trails, and one for the Killarney Lake Trails. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Wostawea Trails (UNB Woodlot and Kingswood) The Wostawea trails have been in great shape during the holidays, thanks to our Wostawea groomers. Please remember that the main access to the trails is from beside the Kingswood Lodge. Access from behind the Kingswood bowling alley is no longer available due to the ongoing construction in this area.

For those interested in alternative locations for cross country skiing in the area, there are several options, including Odell Park, Lindsay Valley trails (Base Gagetown), Slippery Mitten Trails (Crabbe Mountain), and Mactaquac Park. Please go to our “other trails under trail conditions on our website for more information.
