Great Loppet on Sunday - another record breaking event for us, over 140 participants. Snow conditions are great, days are getting longer, best time of the year for skiing :)
Wostawea Loppet – More than 140 skiers took part in the 2018 Wostawea Loppet on Sunday February 11 on the Killarney Lake Trails. A big thank you to everyone who came out and to all the volunteers that made it happen! If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a small army to organize a loppet. Thanks go out to Michel Poirier as the lead organizer, David Cameron, Nick Russon, Rob Hughes, Sébastien Boudreau, Erik Mooers, Eric Hadley, Donald Wright, Chris Carson, John Ball, Margaret Wicken, Steve Heard, Andrew Buzzell, Robert Morimanno, Felix Schwarz, Peter Toner, Dan Crouse, Kaj “Grasshopper” Jones, Robertson Crouse, Pierre Boucher, Two students from the Maritime College of Forest Technology ( Keylen and Brennen), Kerry-Lee Powell, Taeyon Kim, Barb Ramsay and Peta Fussell. Finally, a shout out to our good friends at the Radical Edge for their generosity, and to the City of Fredericton for maintaining the trails, grooming them beautifully, and lending us their snowmobile on the day. Many thanks to all of you for sharing your time and talents and for making this year’s Wostawea loppet such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you! Here are the preliminary results. Please advise by end of day Thursday February 15 via the Contact page on the website if there are any issues with the results. After that, they will be posted on zone4.ca.
