Lesson Plans - Teaching Classic Technique

Nordiq Canada's 1-3-5 series of lesson plans cover the basic techniques in nine sessions, each of 1:30. The 1 plan is an introduction to cross country skiing, the 3 plans cover basic skills and the 5 plans cover the application of the skills to terrain. These 9 lesson plans essentially cover our two levels of beginner training, which are typically conducted over two seasons.

These lesson plans are good templates, as they are tailored for adult learners, and they balance instruction, drills and practice in a suitable timeframe. The plans are illustrative, not not prescriptive. Instructors can modify the plans, drills and activities to align with student abilities, fitness levels, progress and conditions.
